On Tuesday, August 18th, WNCPA will host its annual awards presentation for the winners of this year’s WNCPA Educational Foundation grants. In addition to meeting the best and brightest future flyers, you’ll be treated to a free barbecue meal with all the usual side dishes. Start your hand exercises now: you’ll be needing them for clapping and forks!
Dinner will be served at 6:15 in the Lacy Griffin aviation center, with the presentation to follow. If no parking space is available in front of the building, we have free use of Lot B just north of our meeting place, in the viewing area down the road, or in the small lot catty-cornered to the Lacy Griffin center.
Coming attractions: On Friday, August 14th those who purchased tickets will attend our first annual outing to an Asheville Tourist baseball game. In September, Chad Spoon will present on FAR-permitted pilot maintenance for WINGS credit. And mark you calendars for the annual holiday dinner at Bay breeze on December 8th at 5:00 p.m. Our speaker will be retired Rear Admiral Joey Tynch who mentors high school students through the construction of a homebuilt aircraft!
