On Tuesday, August 15th, we will hear from Lenny DeCicco at our regular meeting. Lenny is a certified commercial drone pilot, and he will discuss with us the ease with which you can get a commercial drone certification for yourself. This will include a demonstration of that process live during the meeting!
The meeting begins at 6:15 with Subway sandwiches as our meal, followed by the presentation in the Lacy Griffin aviation center. If no parking space is available in front of the building, use the spaces in the adjacent maintenance yard (gate 24), in the viewing area down the road, or in the small lot catty-cornered to the Lacy Griffin center.
We will try again for a Fly-In Lunch to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge airport (GKT, 54NM west northwest of AVL) on Saturday, August 19th. If weather is bad at GKT but good at GMU, we’ll go there instead.
