Movies with Mark

On Tuesday, April 21, Mark Schreier will show the short film “Living in the Age of Airplanes” to us and host a discussion of the movie afterwards. This presentation qualifies for WINGS credit! Mark is a FAAS team member, an Air Traffic Controller, and the pilot of a King Air, so I suspect he knows a thing or two about aviation! 🙂

Dinner will be served at 6:15 in the Lacy Griffin aviation center, with the presentation to follow. If no parking space is available in front of the building, we have free use of Lot B just north of our meeting place, in the viewing area down the road, or in the small lot catty-cornered to the Lacy Griffin center.

Upcoming Events: In May, Bill Pendergrass will continue his fascinating discussion of aircraft systems. The details of his presentation are TBA, but the discussion will likely include propellers and fuel systems. Later this summer, the whole of WNCPA is invited to attend an Asheville Tourists game, with special seating reserved for us! A presentation on airplane partnership (shared ownership) is in the works as well, with a date TBA.
