A day in the life….

On Tuesday, June 20th, we will hear from Liana Hart at our regular meeting. She has been a pilot with Allegiant for many years, with enough completed log books to fill a library shelf. The working title of her presentation is “A day in the Life of an Allegiant A320 Pilot.”

The meeting begins at 6:15 with pizza as our meal, followed by the presentation in the Lacy Griffin aviation center. If no parking space is available in front of the building, use the spaces in the adjacent maintenance yard (gate 24), in the viewing area down the road, or in the small lot catty-cornered to the Lacy Griffin center.

We will have our annual picnic in July, with no guest presentation but plenty of time for catching up with aviation friends, spinning yarns via “hangar flying,” and digesting the barbecue that will be provided.

Third time is a charm! We will try again for a Fly-In Lunch to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge airport (GKT, 54NM west northwest of AVL) on Saturday, June 24th. If weather is bad at GKT but good at GMU, we’ll go there instead.
